Today's assignment involves sound. I would like you to experiment with different types of Internet sound files.
There are several types of sound files that can be found on the internet, including:
- WAV - a raw, uncompressed format that provides high quality sound
- MP3 - a compressed format that is widely used for digital music
- AAC - another compressed format that is used for digital music and video
- OGG - a free, open-source format that provides good sound quality and small file size
- FLAC - a lossless, compressed format that provides high-quality sound without taking up a lot of disk space
- MID - a format used for storing MIDI information, often used for digital music
- AIFF - an uncompressed format used by Apple in their products.
These are some of the most common types of sound files found on the internet, but there are others as well.
